FAQs

  • I charge $250 per session. Intakes are $300. I raise my prices annually (if needed), to account for rising costs.

  • Cash sessions are 50-minutes by default. For insurance clients, session length is based on medical necessity and billed accordingly.

  • Currently, I accept Optum, Medica, and UHC.

  • If I don’t take your insurance, you may still get reimbursed using your out-of-network benefits. I’ve partnered with Mentaya which, for a small fee, submits those claims for you. Use their widget to estimate your out-of-pocket cost.

    • What are my out-of-network benefits for outpatient mental health?

    • Is there a deductible to meet before coverage applies? If so, how much have I met?

    • Is there a limit to how many sessions are covered each year? If so, what is it?

    • What is the "allowed" amount that will be reimbursed for sessions? If so, what is the percentage of that you reimburse to me?

    • Do I need pre-authorization to begin?

    • Are telehealth sessions covered?

  • I believe in meeting no more or less than necessary. Meet too often, and we risk therapy losing its impact; meet too infrequently, and we disrupt its momentum. So, session frequency depends on what makes the most sense and will be a collaborative decision made between us.

  • If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, you are billed the full-session fee. See more about my cancellation policy, here.

    • Of course! Above all, I want to ensure we're a good fit. I don’t want to waste your time or money. So if I don’t think I’m the right therapist for you, I’ll say so. Above all, I want to do work that impacts your life while feeling meaningful and effective, to me. That starts with finding the right match.
